With the incredible year we’ve had and the recent additions we’ve made to our competitive rosters, we’ve decided to also bolster our support staff! We’re excited to announce several additions to our Esports department.
Yesterday, we welcomed Mikko "ProtaX" Mutanen as our new Team Manager for the Rainbow Six team. With the Six Invitational on the horizon, Pengu, Kantoraketti, UUNO, CTZN, and Virtue as well as Shas will all value his experience and guidance moving forward.
Former Rainbow Six Manager Julius "Mayne" Ylänne will now be transitioning to a new role as Esports Manager, extending his duties beyond Rainbow Six Siege to assist our Head of Esports, Danny Engels, with day-to-day player management and operational duties across all teams.
We have also extended the contract of Dimitri "Noodlez" Zografos, and are excited to have him assist us in a wider capacity beyond League of Legends. He has transitioned into our full-time Esports Data Analyst and will move to Berlin in 2021 to expand on his work to provide his expertise to all teams with an additional focus on Rainbow Six.
Finally, Anne Banschbach will be continuing her incredible work managing and strengthening our relations with the numerous leagues, publishers, and tournament organisers we work with globally.
Speaking on these changes, Danny Engels, Head of Esports Operations at G2, said:
"The world has seen some amazing additions to G2 Esports in the last couple of weeks with the likes of NiKo, LeTsHe and Rekkles joining our incredible organisation. It’s been great to see the fan excitement, but I personally am equally as excited to see the backbone of our operations grow and flourish with these fantastic additions.
Working alongside Julius, our former Rainbow Six Siege manager, was such a pleasure and his mind- as well as skill set fits perfectly into G2. Having Juli working in a general management position will stabilize our esports operations across all titles massively and ensures that we continue to be a desired organisation and home for the world’s most successful professional players.
To expand operations, Anne's focus on League operations will ensure that G2's but also our player's voices are heard and we ensure the best possible environment for players to compete but also for viewers to enjoy. Additionally, Dimitri has already been a vital part of our League of Legend success, but having Dimitri in Berlin in a full time position will not only allow him to support the players on the Rift better, but also allow us to make use of his Data Scientific knowledge across all our teams."
Keep up with everything G2 across all socials – Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitch.
